Summer Workshop

Our Summer Workshop started last week but there is still plenty of time to register and join in on the fun at the Kirk Players FREE Summer Children's Theatre Workshop! Come Monday, June 19 to MHS at 6pm and have a ball!

There is no online registration so please plan on registering on Monday. The workshop runs from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Children will meet in their respective age groups on Monday nights through July 31. Skilled KP acting teachers will present the children with theatre games, improvisational skit development, scene work and more!

The Adult program also still has room for those who wish to participate. The Adult workshop will meet from 7:30-10 on Monday, June 19 and continue on Thursdays in July. This year the program will provide focus on scene studies based on the upcoming season.

Congratulations Natalie Schleuter!

Congratulations to the 2017 Carmel recipient of the John W. Lynn scholarship.

Natalie Schleuter has been a member of the Thespian Honor Society for her entire high school year--this year's Vice President. She has been in every musical production since her freshman year, including playing Mother Abess in this year's sold out production of Sound of Music. Natalie is an accomplished dancer as well as singer/actress.

She has served the community with her dedication to working at Save My Starving Children each year of her high school career.

She is enrolled at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and will pursue a degree in Musical Theatre.

Congratulations Thomas Ferro!

The Kirk Players proudly announces the Mundelein High School recipient of the 2017 John W. Lynn Performing Arts Scholarship- Thomas Ferro.

Thomas has excelled in his career as a performer and leader at MHS. Since his freshman year, Thomas has been involved in all of the main stage productions at MHS in a leading or supporting role. He may best be remembered for his portrayal of a middle-aged, deviant stalker in the original high school production of TRUST. In addition to his love of theatre, Thomas has been a leader in Concert Band, active in Show Choir, and a member of the National Honors Society.

His leadership and community involvement is exemplified in his continuing pursuit of Eagle Scout through support of Hands Together, Heart to Heart charity for children in Chicago.

Thomas will begin his pursuit of a BFA in Musical Theatre at Millikin University in the fall.
