Kirk Players Adult Summer Workshop 2025

Once again we are happy to sponsor our free summer workshop for adults.
This summer, we're excited to combine our popular Adult Workshop with our One-Act Play Performances.
Our workshops areheld at Mundelein High School on six consecutive Mondays, 6/23 through 7/28. (performing Sunday 7/27 at Tighthead Brewery, Mundelein, at 730pm)!

Our Artistic Director, Patrick Blake, will lead the workshop, focusing on scene work.

Participants have the flexibility to:
1.  Read/Audition for one of our four exciting One-Act Plays.
2. Focus solely on scene work.
3. Do both!  (if not cast, will still participate in scene work)

On our first night, we'll hold readings to assign casts and scenes.

This year's four captivating One-Act plays, winners from our spring writing contest, include:
"A Spot of Miscommunication" by Jess Motyka (directed by Jess Motyka) - British English and American English collide when meeting the parents. (2F, 2M)
"Matchmaker" by Nicole Lawrence (directed by Barb Selvaggio) - A hilarious speed-dating encounter. (2-6F, 2M) "Chaperones" by Keith Whalen (directed by Teddi Santos) Imagine two sportscasters narrating a middle school dance. (1F, 1M)
"Fair is Foul" by Donna Latham (directed by Chris Brouton) - On-air personalities coerce a witch into a forced makeover. (2F, 1M)
