Childhood Holocaust Survivor to Speak at Congregation Or Shalom
Registration for the Holocaust Survivor is closed - Thank you for your Interest
The Kirk Players will be presenting the classic play, The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman, on June 10th-12th, 2022 at Mundelein High School.
In the spirit of the education and history that inspired the book and play, our organization is honored to partner with Congregation Or Shalom in Vernon Hills and The Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center and to join with our communities in remembering the Holocaust with a very special program.
We hope that you will join us as we welcome Samuel R. Harris, a child survivor of the Holocaust, to share his knowledge and memories of that time. His wife, Dede Harris, a narrative artist, will also speak at the event.
Date: Tuesday, May 17th, 2022
Time: 7:15 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Place: Congregation Or Shalom, 21 Hawthorn Pkwy, Vernon Hills
There is no charge for this event; donations are welcome at the event to support the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center
We plan to hold the event outdoors; we will move inside in the event of bad weather
Masks will be required
Recommended for ages 12 & up
Q&A session will be held after the speakers have concluded.
