On Nov 5, The Kirk Players will be performing a Radio show performance of Sherlock Holmes. We are excited to be performing again at the Tighthead Brewery in Mundelein. This will be our fourth performance at Tighthead, after three sold out shows.
This will be our first radio performance there. We will be recreating the Sept 25, 1938, radio show, performed with Orsen Wells at the Mercury Theater. We are looking for actors and also performers to create the sound effects on stage. Copy of the script is at this link: http://www.genericradio.com/show.php?id=8VCGXSKAOS
Since actors will be reading the script, memorizing is not necessary, but you will need to know the script well. I will be looking for English accents. Auditions will be readings from the script. Auditions will be held on Monday, Sept 25, and Wednesday, Sept 27. I am not expecting to use callbacks, but if I choose to, they will be held Thursday, Sept 28. The rehearsal schedule has not been confirmed yet, but we normally rehearse on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday. So please fill out your conflict sheet for those nights from Oct 2 the Nov 5, the show performance. There is also the possibility of an encore performance on Nov 12. The show also calls for a keyboardist, and a violin, so anyone with those talents, or any musical talent, please note it on your audition form.
