A Director's Note for the up-coming auditions for "The Wisdom of Eve" :
Continuing with the Kirk Player's 59th Season....our Season of self discovery is "The Wisdom of Eve". I am proud, honored and happy to be directing the final show of the season. I am also happy to announce that Randy Margison will be the Assistant Director.
The Wisdom of Eve is a riveting portrayal of backstabbing and ruthless ambition, based on the short story by Mary Orr. Eve Harrington is an aspiring young actress who begins working for – and then understudying – the aging Broadway star Margo Crane. Their relationship soon turns
into betrayal as the seemingly naïve and quiet Eve begins to manipulate and exploit anyone who would block her path to stardom. Whether it’s the show’s playwright, Margo’s friend or even her own husband, no one is safe from Eve’s lies.
Auditions will take place on March 31st and April 2nd from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m, In the event of call-backs, that will take place on April 3rd. A cast of ten amazing characters.
Per script, there are 5 female and 5 male characters. Ten sassy, witty characters with style!
The time is the late 1950's , early 1960's.
Think traditional with emerging Art Deco style.
